HOW DOES TRUCK CHIP TUNING WORK?

Modern truck engines are controlled by an ECU (Electronic Control Unit). This software regulates injection quantity, injection timing, boost pressure and the engine's characteristics — crucial for economy and performance in commercial operation. Manufacturers often program the ECU for average use — those who operate their truck mainly on motorways or with specific loads leave potential untapped. Through targeted ECU remapping we optimise these parameters exactly for your operating conditions: more torque for climbs, better fuel efficiency in partial load or maximum power for heavy haulage.

Which trucks are suitable?

All modern commercial vehicles with turbodiesel engines (Euro 4–6): vans like VW Crafter/Mercedes Sprinter, light trucks, semi-trailers and heavy haulage vehicles of all makes.

How quickly does it pay off?

With eco tuning and 2–3 L/100km savings, the investment pays off for a typical truck (100,000 km/year) usually within 2–4 months. For fleet operators this is a significant cost factor.

Operation with trailer?

Yes — we calibrate the tuning for typical operation with trailer or semi-trailer. More torque when starting and on hills is especially noticeable and relieving in trailer operation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How long does truck chip tuning take?
Depending on the vehicle and method 1–3 hours. We come directly to you — vans and light trucks often completed the same day. For larger vehicles we plan the appointment to minimize downtime.
Do I have to bring the truck to a workshop?
No — we come to you. Whether at your company, your yard or another agreed location. No towing, no hassle, no overnight downtime.
Is chip tuning possible for Euro 6 trucks?
Yes, we have experience with Euro 4 to Euro 6 vehicles. The exact possibilities depend on the control unit — contact us for a free preliminary check.
What about AdBlue and the SCR system?
The SCR/AdBlue system remains active with normal chip tuning. On request we also offer SCR optimisations. We advise you individually on the legal options for your use case.

OPTIONAL DEACTIVATIONS

In addition to tuning, the following software optimizations can be performed — all also via OBD2.

EGR Delete

Deactivate exhaust gas recirculation — less engine contamination, more reliability in continuous operation.

DPF Solution

Software-side deactivation of the particulate filter — no more expensive regeneration, no breakdowns. Export/off-road only.

SCR/AdBlue

Deactivate or optimise AdBlue system — no NOx sensor errors, no AdBlue costs. Export only.

Speed Limiter

Adjust speed limiter — e.g. driving program unlocking or removal.

Stop-Start Disable

Permanently disable annoying stop-start system — protects batteries and starter motor.

Cooling Fan Optimisation

Optimise switch-on temperatures and fan control for more even operating temperature.

⚠️ Note: DPF, EGR and AdBlue deactivations are not permitted on public roads. For off-road, race track or export only.

The truck chip tuning is completely reversible. We save the original software and restore the factory state at any time — even for warranty issues or MOT appointments.
