WHAT IS ECO TUNING?
ECO Tuning — also known as ECO chip tuning or consumption optimisation — is a professional adaptation of the engine control unit software with the goal of reducing fuel consumption in real-world driving. Unlike performance tuning, the focus here is not on maximum power, but on efficient, economical engine operation in everyday use.
Injection optimised
The injection quantity and timing are calibrated more precisely to the actual load range. The engine burns fuel more completely — less soot, less consumption.
Boost pressure adjusted
The turbocharger operates more smoothly and evenly in everyday driving. Unnecessary pressure spikes are eliminated — protecting components and reducing fuel demand at partial load.
Torque curve linearised
More torque at low revs means driving in higher gears — the engine runs more quietly, gear changes become less frequent and fuel consumption drops noticeably.
ECU recalibrated
All parameters — injection, ignition, EGR, boost pressure control — are coordinated. The result is an engine that operates as efficiently in everyday use as it is mechanically capable of.
Close-to-standard calibration
ECO Tuning deliberately stays within the mechanical tolerances of the engine. No extreme values, no additional stress — just a smarter use of the existing potential.
Reversible at any time
The original ECU software is backed up before the intervention. The original state can be restored at any time on request — without any permanent change to the vehicle.

Does ECO Tuning really work — or is it just marketing?
ECO Tuning is based on the same tools as professional chip tuning — just with a different goal. Instead of maximum power, the injection map is calibrated for more economical operation. The result is measurable: the engine operates more efficiently in the frequently used partial load range. How much is saved depends on the vehicle, the driving profile and the initial state of the ECU.
Is ECO Tuning safe for my engine?
Yes. ECO Tuning is deliberately calibrated within the mechanical limits of the engine. No extreme values are set that would stress the engine. On the contrary: an engine running at its optimal operating point is actually placed under less stress in partial load operation than with the factory setting.
Can I revert to the original calibration afterwards?
Yes, always. Before every intervention the original ECU software is completely backed up. The ECO map can be replaced with the original data at any time — without any trace, without any permanent change to the vehicle.
Does ECO Tuning also work on petrol engines?
The greatest effect is seen on diesel engines, as these offer the greatest optimisation potential in the partial load range by design. For petrol engines we generally recommend Stage 1 tuning, which also provides a noticeably better power output in everyday driving.
How long does the ECO Tuning calibration take?
The entire process — reading out, calibrating, flashing — normally takes 60 to 90 minutes. We come to you mobile, no workshop stay required.
What does ECO Tuning cost?
